Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We used C57BL6 / J mice. We had performed auditory brainstem response (ABR), distortion component otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) and balance test 4 weeks after intratympanic injection of streptozotocin (STZ), gentamicin (GM) and saline. Compared to the saline group, ABR results were significantly deteriorated at frequencies of 4 kHz to 32 kHz in the STZ and GM groups. DPOAE amplitudes were also significantly deteriorated at frequencies of 5.6 kHz to 22 kHz in the STZ group and 5.6 kHz to 16 kHz in the GM group. Balance disorder was observed only in the GM group.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
STZ鼓室内投与により聴力障害が誘発されることは報告例がなく、本研究により初めて基礎データが得られた。聴力障害所見の中でも、主に蝸牛の外有毛細胞活性を反映するDPOAEの悪化を認めるため、STZ鼓室内投与により蝸牛障害が生じることが示唆された。また、STZ鼓室内投与により前庭機能障害は誘発されないことも示唆された。今後は、例数を増やすと共に、他の系統のマウスでの測定も実施して、慎重に検証を重ねる予定である。
