| Research Abstract |
平成22年度の最大の成果は、2冊の書物、Marshall,Marshallians and Industrial Economics,ed. by T.Raffaelli,T.Nishizawa and S.Cook(Routledge)および、The Dissemination of Economic Ideas, ed. by H.Kurz,T.Nishizawa and K.Tribe(Edward Elgar)が刊行されたことである。いずれも国際ワークショップをもとにしたものであるが、前者は産業経済学・産業組織論を中心にマーシャルとマーシャリアンズについて16章から構成され、マーシャル研究の一つの到達点を示している。また後者は、経済思想・経済理論の国際的波及、相互作用を扱った国際共同研究の成果で13章から構成されている。
No wealth But Life. Welfare Economics and the welfare State in Britain,ed. by R. Backhouse and T.Nishizawa(CUP,2010)を踏まえた日本語の書物『創設期の厚生経済学と福祉国家』(西沢・小峯編)も刊行準備を進めている。
国際ワークショップ"Limits to Capitalism: Economics and Liberalism Re-examined"(March-13-14,2011,一橋大学)は、大震災のため二日目は中止を余儀なくされたが、Dr.Matt Beechによる補完的なセミナー"The Minority View: New Labour and Neo-liberalism"(Feb. 13,2012)を行った。これらを踏まえて、R.Backhouse,B.Batemanの協力を得て、成果として"Liberalism and the Welfare State in Transition"を刊行すべく準備を進めている。
