| Research Abstract |
Inverse Compton X-rays from laser-accelerated monoenergeticelectrons are observed. A Ti : sapphire laser(pulse energy : 500 mJ ; pulse width : 150 fs) beam is divided into two beams to accelerate electrons to energies of 13 and 22 MeV, which inversely scattered the secondary laser beam into 6 and 11 keV X-rays. This demonstrates a novel source of monoenergetic directional ultrashort X-ray pulses(Applied Physics Express 5(2012) 056401).
