「社会的なもの」の再構築:多様性と可能性の人類学的研究

Research Abstract

本研究の開始にあたり、京都大学にて研究代表者と連携研究者が集まり(7月4日)、具体的な課題を明確化するとともに役割分担を調整した。このとき連携研究者の石井は、申請書と同じ内容の研究課題をあたらしい調査地である南インドについて探求していくこととした。また本年度の予算内で各自が現地調査と文献のどちらかに重点を置いて、申請書の計画どおりに研究に取り組むことを確認した。
上記の決定にもとづき、研究代表者の春日はフィジーの首都スヴァにて、「老人問題」から社会性の変容を調査した。小泉はグアテマラの調査結果をもとに、グローバル化が「社会」という観念に及ぼす影響を検討中である。中川は言語ゲーム概念の拡張をこころみて、「社会的なもの」の問題形成について考察した。栗本はスーダンにおいて、和平構築のための会議をみずから組織し、「社会的なもの」の変容に関する参与観察をおこなった。田辺は南インドを対象に、民主主義とカーストに焦点を当てて「社会的なもの」の生成を検討した。森田はタイの農村について、技術と人間の集合的なあり方に関する研究を展開している。石井は南インドの祭祀を集中的に調査し、身体性の現象学的な理解をつうじた「社会的なもの」への接近をはかった。さらに地域的なバランスを考えた結果、南フランスを研究領域とする中川理氏(大阪大学グローバルコラボレーションセンター)を連携研究者として迎えて、農村部での経済状況を中心に研究を進めてもらっている。
今年度の総括をおこなった結果、理論的な先端性を高める必要を確認した。来年度は海外からViveiros de Castro(リオ国立博物館)、Heonik Kwon(LSE)、Annemarie Mol(アムステルダム大学)らを招き、国際ワークショップを開催して全体で討議を進めていくことを決定し、現在その準備を進めている。
