Research Abstract |
1. Brookite TiO_2 nanorods with controlling aspect ratio had been prepared. Photocatalytic activity of brookite TiO_2 nanorods under UV light increased with increase in its aspect ratio. The activity of the brookite TiO2 nanorod is about 4 times higher than that of commercially available TiO_2 photocatalysts. 2. Visible light responsive brookite TiO_2 nanorod site-selectively loaded with Fe ions had been prepared. Fe loaded brookite TiO2 nanorod showed three times higher activity compared to N-doped TiO_2, which is commercially available visible light responsive TiO_2 photocatalyst.
