Research Abstract |
Elevated circulating Asymmetric Dimethylarginine(ADMA) is a cause, not an epiphenomenon, of endothelial dysfunction in chronic kidney disease. This effect is attributable to inhibition of endothelial nitric oxide synthase phosphorylation, which is independent of the competitive inhibition of nitric oxide synthase.
