Research Abstract |
In this research program, the role of the candidate genes linked to the glial pathology in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis mouse model was examined. Mice deficient ofα7-nAChR gene showed slowing late disease progression in ALS mice. Moreover, ES-derived motor neuron culture and plant-derived chemical library were established as tools for investigating glial pathology in vitro.
