| Research Abstract |
24年５月にニュー・メディアアーティストJeanne Hilaryが来日し、短編映画The Truthについてインタビューした。異言語・異文化・翻訳、メディア・トランスレーションなどが民主主義とどのような関係にあるかについて議論した。HilaryはJust as democracy continually expands our ideas about who may speak, so does media expand our understanding of how we define ourselves in the public spaceと述べた。また翻訳の社会的・政治的な役割について意見交換した。
７月21日～31日にベルファスト市（北アイルランド）へ行き「国際翻訳・交流文化研究会IATIS」国際研究大会に参加した。日本の政治的思想と野上豊一郎の能楽翻訳理論についての論文「Recognizing the politics of Noh translation: Nogami Toyoichiro's translation theories」を発表した。また、野上豊一郎の能楽や翻訳理論についてのNogami Toyoichiro's Noh translation theories and the primacy of performanceという論文を掲載した論集Theatre Translation in Performanceが出版された。
９月11日～18日にロンドンへ行き、FILM-PHILOSOPHY国際研究大会に参加し翻訳理論はどのように映画理論に影響を与えるかを考え、調査した。
平成25年２月19日-28日に先住民文化フェスティバルに参加するためバンクーバーへ行った。

研究課題は興味深く常に研究意欲を駆り立てられる。また，この科研費プロジェクトが始まる頃よりも日本の翻訳に対する関心が一層高まっていると思われるため。

平成２４年度にはいろいろな観点から翻訳を調べていた。これから研究についてのモノグラフを書き始める予定である。
