４月～７月 日本マンガと、カナダ・アメリカのクラフィック・ナラティブでは、『DEATH NOTE』、 Chester Brown の『Louis Riel』や、Art Spiegelmanの『In the Shadow of No Towers』を再読し、分析。
8月10日～14日 International Research Society for Children’s Literature (IRSCL), Maastricht University, The Netherlandsの第２１回国際研究大会で「Refinding Death Note in manga, anime, live action」の発表。
9月24日～30日Middlebury College2013年度Clifford Symposium: Translation in a Globalized Community: Theory and Practiceで論文発表。
9月28-29日 ニューヨーク出張。創造的な翻訳についての『Truth is not my native language』という映画におけるアニメの役などについてMedia artist Jeanne Hilaryにインタビューできた。
9月～平成26年3月末 『Littoral Translation』というbook-length studyの原稿を書き始めた。
