| Research Abstract |
Recently, HDL targeted therapy has been attracting attention to prevent atherosclerosis. First, we proved that newly developed ApoA-I mimetic peptide containing phospholipids showed a strong anti-atherosclerotic effect in rabbit model of atherosclerosis. Next, we developed new ApoA-I mimetic peptide without phospholipids which forms strong.-helix structure. We found the mimetic peptide increased preβ-HDL and showed a strong anti-atherosclerotic effect in an in vivo and in vitro.
