Research Abstract |
We determined if implantation of bone marrow-derived cells has a potential to be treatments for radiotherapy-induced bladder dysfunction. The cell implantation reconstructed smooth muscle layers and nerve fibers. The cell-implanted urinary bladders recovered regular voiding intervals and low residual volume, which were similar to non-irradiated normal bladder function.
