Research Abstract |
J. McN. Whistler ’ s introduction and impact in Japan, especially in Meiji (1868-1912) and Taisho era (1912-1926) has revealed through four years’ researches and studies. I have collected articles on Whistler published in art and literary journals, and analyzed process of his introduction and acceptance in art and literary world in Meiji and Taisho era.
