Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The principal investigators are conducting research on learning support through type classification based on keywords. Recently, the need for mental health support has been increasing, and in the initial phase of this project, we aimed to enhance learners' well-being using emotion-related words. However, as the research progressed, we gained the perspective that the information processing of memory and emotions by neurons in the hippocampal CA1 region could be utilized in this study. Therefore, we decided that incorporating an approach using EEG analysis would be more effective in achieving the initial research objectives, and we began to investigate the mechanisms of memory formation based on EEG data from rats. The obtained research results were carefully examined, and some of them were presented either as oral presentations at academic conferences or as academic papers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は,海馬CA1領域のリップル波が記憶や感情の情報処理に果たす役割を解明するものである。これにより,脳波解析を用いた学習支援やメンタルケアの新たな可能性が示された。特に,リップル波の特徴抽出およびエピソード分類の方法が確立される可能性を示したことは,神経科学や心理学における基礎的な理解を深める重要な成果である。 メンタルヘルスの支援ニーズが高まる中,本研究の成果は,脳波データに基づく記憶と感情の関係性を明らかにすることで,今後の学習支援の方法論の開発に向けた基盤を提供する。これにより,将来的には個々の心理状態に応じた精密な支援が可能となり,社会全体の精神的健康の向上に寄与する可能性がある。
