Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Gliomas are aggressive brain tumors characterized by poor patient outcomes. While significant progress has been made in understanding somatic mutations specific to tumor cells, the role of germline variants, which inherited and present in every cell, remains less clear. This study investigates the influence of PIK3R1 gene mutations on glioma incidence, prognosis, and the tumor's immune microenvironment using comprehensive genome sequencing data.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
PIK3R1遺伝子変異は、グリオーマにおいて予後不良である可能性が示唆された。一方で、疾患発症リスクには関与しない可能性が示唆された。
