Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In this year, I mainly conducted an empirical analysis by using the panel dataset constructed in the previous. To identify the causal effect of exchange rate changes on firm exports, the main identification strategy used in the research is difference in difference.
In this year, I also invited Professor Xiaodong Zhu from the University of Hong Kong to have a seminar in Chuo university, and he presented his paper titled "Finance, Managerial Inputs, and Misallocation" which was closely related to my research topic. During Professor Zhu's stay in Japan, we had several research meetings to discuss the construction of models, important variables, and empirical methodologies. I received valuable insights from him, which greatly contributed to the improvement of my research.

Current Status of Research Progress

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

The empirical analysis took longer than planned due to data reprocessing and reconsideration of variable construction.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

I plan to finishthe empirical analysis. A working paper draft will be completed and the results will be reported in the academic conferences and workshops in Japan and overseas.

Causes of Carryover

（1）研究の質の向上、研究動向の把握、研究成果発表等を目的に、国内外の学会へ参加するための旅費や参加費なども計上してい る。(2)研究の質の向上のために、当該分野の優秀な研究者を招聘して、セミナを開催するための経費も計上している。（3）英文校閲料や論文投稿料も計上している（４）最新の研究動向と分析手法を知るための関連する専門書、日常作業に必要なパソコン消耗品(トナー、用紙)、文房具も計上している。
