Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of the present study was to elucidate learning-induced changes in neuronal network on a single cellular level. Calcium imaging using a wide-field two-photon laser microscope was performed on mice conditioned with fear memories to record the activity of thousands of neurons in the cerebral cortex. A novel evaluate method developed to detect changes in neuronal networks revealed changes in brain networks associated with memory formation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
