Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to examine the association of outcomes of emergency patients with time of day and day of week. This observational study analyzed the Japanese government-led nationwide population-based registry data of OHCA patients. After adjusting for potential confounders, 1-month survival during on-duty hours was significantly higher than that during off-duty hours. Among pediatric OHCA patients, one-month survival after OHCA remained significantly lower during night than during day/ evening, although disparities in 1-month survival between weekdays and weekends have been eliminated over time.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
