Outline of Final Research Achievements

Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), defined as cells possessing both self-renewal capacity and multipotency, regulate blood production throughout life. However, how HSCs maintain this mechanism is largely unknown. Using our originally developed HSC reporter system, we have elucidated one aspect of the mechanism by which the self-renewal capacity of HSCs is regulated.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
