Research Abstract |
In this study, we have analyzed signaling and functions of CDM family proteins that are known to act as Rac GEFs. We obtained several important conclusions as follows: 1) DOCK1 acts downstream of CXCR4 in endothelial cells and plays an important role in cardiovascular development. 2) DOCK2 regulates NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. 3) DOCK5 plays an important role in osteoclast functions. 4) DOCK1 is required for PDGF-induced dorsal ruffle formation. 5) Unlike DOCK5, DOCK1 and DOCK2 bind to phosphatidic acid.
