Research Abstract |
A highly efficient power generator is developed that uses human movement as the energy source. The generator has a rotor with diameter of 26mm and generates power of0.1W. It is more than 100 times higher in power generation than that of conventional vibration generators. It produces 3 dimensional rotations of about 3600 rpm from vibration of 2Hz. In order to stabilize the rotor rotation, several techniques are developed such as a theoretical stability analysis, a passive control of electro-magnetic damping and aself-activation of rotation using the generator as a motor.
