Research Abstract |
Mechanisms of how neural stem/precursor cells are established and maintained have been important questions. In this study, we investigated mechanisms of how group B1 Sox transcription factors (Sox1/2/3/19) regulate neural stem cell states using zebrafish as a model system. We show that transcriptional repressors including Zic1 and several miRNA are involved in B1 Sox-dependent-inhibition of neuronal differentiation.
