Research Abstract |
We improved the 345 GHz receiver for ASTE 10m telescope, CATS345, using Orthomode transducer. We successfully obtained the wide area map of CO(3-2) in the spiral galaxy M33 in the local group. We find that most GMCs in M33 are associated with star formation activity. The lifetimes of GMCs were found to be 20-40 Myr.
