地球マントル中でのCOH流体の相平衡と地球深部の揮発性元素サイクル

Research Abstract

2010年には、6-20GPaの条件で使用可能なマルチアンビル高圧装置用の二重カプセルを開発した。これを用いて、我々は3-16GPaまでの条件において、還元性のC-H-O流体とカンラン岩、エクロジャイト系の高温高圧実験を行った。Mo-・MoO2バッファ、Fe-FeOバッファの酸素分圧を制御するために、MoとFeの外部カプセルを使用した。その結果、還元的な流体C-H-O流体と共存するカンラン石やエクロジャイトのソリダス温度がかなり上昇することが明らかになった。
ソリダス温度は、H2O+CO2からなる酸化的な流体の存在する系に比べてソリダス温度が300-400℃も増加することが明らかになった。現在、ダイヤモンドアンビルを用いた流体のラマン分光測定を進めている。
放射光を用いたX線粉末解析によって、30GPaまでの金属-金属酸化物の状態方程式を決定するための実験を行った。この実験では、高圧実験中に酸素分圧の制御を行う必要があり、これに成功すれば、高圧研究法を大きく進めることができる。2010年には、Mo-MoO2、Re-ReO2、そしてW-WO_2-WCバッファについて研究をすすめた。
2-31GPaの条件で、アルカリ炭酸塩の相関係の研究を行った。Na2OおよびK2Oに富んだCa-Mg炭酸塩溶液(Na202%およびK207%およびその逆の組成)について実験を行った。3GPaおよび6GPaのソリダス温度はそれぞれ750℃および850℃近くであった。
6GPaから10GPaまでの間では、ソリダス温度は1150℃まで大きな増加が認められた。さらに高圧の10GPaから21GPaの間でソリダスは平坦になった。
K含有システムやNa含有システムにおいては、様々なアルカリ含有炭酸塩鉱物が認められた。それらは、3GPaではNa_2Mg_2(CO_3)_2、6.5GPaでは(K,Na)_2Ca_2(CO_3)_2、3-21GPaの条件では、(K,Na)_2Mg_2(CO_3)_3-(K,Na)_2Mg(CO_3)_2および(K,Na)_2Ca_4(CO_3)_5-CaCO_3固溶体であった。
