Research Abstract

The measurement of soluble fibrin (SF) and plasminogen-activator inhibitor (PAI-1) on the day after surgery was helpful to see individual risk for postoperative venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing total hip Arthroplasty. According to thisevaluation, a half of patients might not need to administer anticoagulant agents following surgery. It could be one of the criteria whether the patients need postoperative pharmacoprophylaxis or not.
