Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

This research project has produced high-quality publications in a notable international journal, MDPI with a high impact factor of 3.90. The researchers of the project team had planned to publish two papers in 2023, which goal has been met. Further, this project will launch on a new project on a Interntional student seminar to be held at university in Hiroshima in August, 2024. It is expected to produce another successful publication as well as workshops and lectures based on the findings and results of the project. It will continue to work closely with BEVI analysis and its founders to analyze cross-cultural interactions at a more profound level. This project is expected to expand and focus more on promoting global citizenship and peace through cross-cultural interactions in 2024.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

This project is expected to continue to focus on cross-cultural negotiations using analytical tools such as CQ (Cultural Intelligence) and BEVI analysis. The principal investigator will invite Dr. Ingrid Bartel, who is one of the two international colleagues of this project to Hiroshima in August,2024. The PI and Dr. Bartel will work on collecting data of Internatinal student seminar to be held in a Japanese university in Hiroshima and analyze the data to produce successful research project results for future publications in 2024. This project is expected to expand to a theme of Promoting Gobal Citizenship and Peace through analyzing students' model United Nations to be held on campus by students gathered from fifteen universities around the world.

Causes of Carryover

We have not been able to utilize the whole amount due to some incurring expenses to be used for next year. We are planning to hold another workshop that is expected to require some expenses to be covered. Further, researchers will publish another article that will be required some fee for publication.
