Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We are checking how the expression of sleep genes in the peripheral blood changes before and after treatment of psychiatric disorders, focusing on depression severe enough to require inpatient treatment. They also use actigraphy to confirm how sleep status has changed. Since it is difficult to collect data on patients with severe depression due to mental symptoms such as cessation of thinking, it is difficult to obtain consent for the study and data are difficult to collect.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
