| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
学術研究船新青丸によるKS-15-6次航海（6／25～7／6、海域：東シナ海）および白鳳丸によるKH-15-3次航海（10／14～11／4、海域：東シナ海）を実施し、微量元素分析のためのクリーン採水と船上または陸上における化学分析を行った。
国際GEOTRACES計画科学推進委員会（仏・トゥールーズ、7／15～17）および同計画データ管理委員会（開催地は同じ、7／13～14）に担当委員が出席し、国際GEOTRACESとの連携を深めた。またSCOR執行理事会（インド・ゴア、12月7～9日）にSCOR指名代表委員を派遣し、我が国のGEOTRACES研究実施状況を報告するとともに、各国委員との意見交換を実施した。
国際会議および国内会議における研究成果発表については、SCOR-第139作業部会ワークショップ（クロアチア、4／7～11）で2件、分析化学討論会（山梨大学、5／23）で1件（依頼講演）、Goldschmidt国際会議（プラハ、8／16～21）で3件、日本地球化学会年会（横浜国大、9／16～18）で2件、Ocean Sciences国際会議（ニューオーリンズ、2／21～26）で3件、高知大学海洋コアセンター共同利用成果報告会（高知大、2／29～3／1）で1件、日本海洋学会春季大会（東大、3／14～18）で3件行った。
本研究の最終成果取りまとめを、東大大気海洋研究所研究集会「GEOTRACES計画エンジン全開：太平洋・インド洋における微量元素・同位体の生物地球化学研究の進展」として3／28～29に開催し、23件に及ぶ講演と活発な議論が展開された。この報告書を「号外海洋」（海洋出版）の特別号として出版予定である。なお3月29日には日本学術会議SCOR分科会GEOTRACES小委員会を同時開催し、GEOTRACES計画の国際情勢と今後の研究計画について意見交換を行った。
