Research Abstract |
It is important to render the objects realistically whose optical properties depend on the wavelength of light, under indirect lighting environment. To achieve the research goal, we have developed a spectral rendering method based on a photon mapping method, that is a typical algorithm of a global illumination model in computer graphics. Furthermore, we have improved a method for displaying high dynamic range spectral images realistically by using a tone mapping technique taking into account human visual properties.
