Research Abstract |
Alternans is called as harbinger of death rhythm, being well observable in a patient of ischemic heart disease. Mathematical model used my crab-heart data as a parameter of synaptic potentials. Then, the model could induce alternans, when extracellular potassium (K+) concentration was increased. I concluded that ionic concentration of K+ in the tissue fluid is a key factor to suppress generation of alternans.
