Research Abstract |
The patients with chronic heart failure and mitral regurgitation (>moderate) were performed ergometer stress echocardiography. We divided two groups (asymptomatic group vs symptomatic group). After ergometer stress, 59% in symptomatic group and 64% in asymptomatic group has exercise induced pulmonary artery hypertension. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that baseline pulmonary artery pressure and the change in left atrial systolic strain rate from baseline to 10W exercise were independent predictors for exercise induced pulmonary artery hypertension.
