Research Abstract |
Protein kinase C (PKC) γ is involved in cerebellar functions such as motor coordination and elimination of climbing fiber-Purkinje cell synapses. Molecular mechanisms of PKCγ-regulating cerebellar processes are elusive, due to the heretofore undescribed in vivo substrates of PKCγ. In this study, a series of candidate molecules for PKCγ substrates in mouse cerebellum was identifiedby quantitative phospho-proteomic analysis.
