Research Abstract

本研究は、網羅的な遺伝子機能減衰型・増強型変異体原虫の作製技術を基盤として原虫変異体ライブラリーを作製しようとするものである。また、その応用により原虫病研究全体のボトムアップを目指すものである。
本年度における研究では作製した変異体ライブラリーについて、分子生物学的手法を用いた解析により、変異の導入部位、発現変動のレベルを個々に解析した。これらの情報を基に試験的なデータベースを構築した。この結果、多数の双方向性に機能するプロモーター領域が存在する可能性が示唆され、本法における変異体ライブラリー作製法は機能増強型ライブラリ－用としてより適していることが示唆された。
