Research Abstract |
Adrenomedullin (AM) is a vasodilating peptide. Receptor activity-modifying protein 2 (RAMP2) is the critical determinant of vascular functions of AM. In high-fat diet fed RAMP2 heterozygous knockout mice and adipocyte-specific RAMP2 knockout mice analysis, these observations indicate that AM-RAMP2 system play critical roles in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism and adipocyte development.
