| Research Abstract |
In MLL-rearranged ALL cell lines,LMO2 protein expression wasrelatively low despite their higher gene expression levels of hHEX and LMO2. Andintroduction of siRNA against LMO2 into LMO2/ hHEX -expressing B-precursor ALL cell linessignificantly downregulated hHEX gene expression. These observations suggest theinvolvement of LMO2/hHEX pathway in leukemogenesis of B-precursor ALL particularly witht(17;19),but not MLL-arrangement.
