Outline of Annual Research Achievements

最終年度は、計測手法を更に高度化させると共に、得られた測定データを基に、長尺高温超伝導線材の具体的な電流制限因子の解明と臨界電流Icの統計揺らぎに関する解析を進め、学術的にも実用的にも重要な知見を得た。一連の成果について関係学会誌より2件の解説論文の依頼を受け寄稿すると共に、国際会議において、基調講演を含む5件の招待講演を行った。本年度の主な成果は次の通りである。
(1)長尺線材の計測評価手法の更なる高度化：昨年度までの連続Ic評価手法に関して、新たな測定原理を提案し、Icのみならず実用上重要となる磁束フロー特性の急峻さの評価が可能となった。さらに、磁場下の測定に展開し、実用レベルの高磁界下（2T）におけるIc分布の連続測定に世界で初めて成功した。

(2) 局所Ic低下の原因となる微細組織の解明：リール式磁気顕微鏡とX線マイクロCTを用いた３次元組織観察による複合評価を実施し、200m級商用RE-123線材のIc低下因子を微細組織との対応を基に明らかとし、特性改善のための指針を示した。

(3) 長尺線材におけるIc統計揺らぎの解明：長尺線材のIc分布に関する測定結果について空間周波数解析を行い、短い周期の白色雑音的な揺らぎとは別に、長周期の揺らぎが存在し、長尺線における最小Icは観測する線材長に依存することを見いだした。すなわち、長尺線の実用性能を決定する最小Ic値は、その低い出現確率のため短尺試料による見かけ上の測定値では正しく評価出来ていないことをはじめて指摘した。さらに、統計的考察によってIc値の揺らぎのスケール特性を明らかとし、有限長の試料の測定結果から無限長における最小Ic値を推定する手法を提案した。これは、長尺線材における局所Ic値の統計揺らぎを理論的に考察した初めての成果であると共に長尺線材を用いた機器設計の際のIc値のマージンに対する理論的根拠を与えるものである。
