Outline of Final Research Achievements |
First, we got the dose dependence of the generation of DNA double-strand breaks (dsbs) by constructing stochastic models and published a paper of this results. Next, we considered the double dependence of the generation of dsbs on dose and linear energy transfer (LET) by extending our previous mathematical models. We also found that the theory of hitting times of a Brownian motion is deeply related to this problem.
