Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Metamaterials are a new class of composite materials that can exhibit any desired electromagnetic or acoustic properties, including exotic behaviors such as negative refraction, negative bulk modulus or negative mass under certain excitations. Applications such as superlensing and clocking have attracted significant attention. In this study, electromagnetic properties and vibrational properties of metamaterial composites have been investigated by computer simulations. A novel numerical method suitable for the analysis of metamaterial composites has also been developed.
