電場誘起磁化反転に関与する波動関数の対称性を測る

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究ではFe/MgO磁気トンネル接合界面（Au/Fe/MgOサンドイッチ膜)における磁気コンプトンプロファイルの電場効果および磁場効果を測定し、電場誘起磁化反転に関与する波動関数の対称性を実験的に抽出することを目的とし、①Au/Fe/MgO多層膜の磁気コンプト
ンプロファイルの電場効果および磁場効果の測定②理論的に指摘されているFe3d電子の磁気量子数|m|=0と|m|=2の対称性に着目した解析を行うこととした。
平成24年度は、Au/Fe(001)/MgO(001)/Feのシークエンスで多層膜を作製し、Fe(001)/MgO(001)界面の結晶方位制御した多層膜の作製に成功した。平成25年度は磁気コンプトンプロファイルの磁場依存性を測定し、スピン磁気モーメントの磁化曲線（スピン選択磁化曲線：Spin Selective Magnetic Hysteresis (SSMH))と軌道磁気モーメントの磁化曲線（軌道選択磁化曲線: Orbital Selective Magnetic Hysteresis (OSMH))を求めた。 さらに、磁気コンプトンプロファイルの解析から、Fe3d電子の磁気量子数|m|の対称性別SSMHを求めた。平成26年度はそれらの結果を詳細に解析し、スピン磁気モーメントと軌道磁気モーメントの磁化反転挙動が異なることを見出した。さらに、軌道磁気モーメントとスピン磁気モーメントの磁化反転挙動が異なる原因は、軌道の対称性によって磁化反転特性が異なりるためであり、軌道磁気モーメントの磁化反転挙動は磁気量子数|m|=2の対称性に支配されることを見出した。これらの成果を論文等で発表し、平成27年度はこれらの成果を解説等で発表した。さらに、既に実用化されているCoFeB/MgO磁気トンネル接合系でも同様の現象を見出し、検討を開始している。
