Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Endomembrane localized ALMT-family transporter in tomato were analyzed. SlALMT possessed malate and anion transport function. The overexpression of the gene could not show malate accumulation in fruits, but caused change of organic anion contents in seed, suggesting that SlALMT transporter is involved in organic anion metabolisms in seed.
