Outline of Final Research Achievements

In the present study, we investigated whether abnormal behavior could be induced by administration of cytokine in monkeys. A common marmoset monkey subcutaneously injected EGF showed hyper activity, abnormal eye movement, and a learning deficit indicating hypofrontality. Our data suggest that perinatal exposure to cytokine can be a cause of mental disorders.
