Research Abstract |
20-30 % of HeLa cells transiently expressing PINK1/parkin, Parkinson's disease-asssociated genes, have shown apoptotic changes characterized by elevation of levels of cleaved caspase-8/9/3. The apoptosis induced by PINK1/parkin overexpression is inhibited by zVAD as well as caspase-8 inhibitors. Now we try to sort out cells with less mitochondria without apoptotic tendency and figure out the characteristics.
