Research Abstract |
In this study, we have investigated material phases induced by electric field effect, so-called electric-field-induced quantum phases. We have searched new phases and constructed new methods for material search. We found that normal and superconducting properties as well as electronic states in the field-induced phases are markedly different from bulk materials. Moreover, we have developed a new device for spin manipulation. Switching of spin-current-induced voltage by electric field was demonstrated.
