Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To develop an efficient design procedure for steel framed house system, full scale testing and numerical calculation were conducted in this study. From the full scale testing, it was found that hanging wall did not have significant effect on deformation control but had an effect of force reduction at the base connection. From the numerical simulation of earthquake, it was found that shear wall with hanging wall system had enough ductility and it can be used in real practice. However, it was also found that shear wall hanging wall system is very sensitive to the stiffness of connecting component.
