Research Abstract |
We investigated control mechanism of sulfur-containing amino acid metabolic enzyme, cystathionine beta-synthase (CBS), cystathionine gamma-lyase and 3-mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase by phosphorylation. We found that CBS is phosphorylated by protein kinases. These data indicate that CBS might be controlled by its phosphorylation.
