Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Magnetic resonance imaging after intravenous gadolinium injection enable visualization of endolymphatic hydrops of inner ear. However, normal pharmacokinetics of gadolinium injected intravenously in the inner ear is still unclear. The purpose of this study is to make it clear. In the present study, heavily T2-weighted 3D-FLAIR images of healthy volunteers were obtained on pre- and post-contrast several time points. Based on these imaging data, we revealed the pharmacokinetics of gadolinium injected intravenously in the inner ear perilymph.
