Outline of Annual Research Achievements

化学反応の検出,化学反応の制御,物質の効率的な輸送を半導体集積回路上で行うことにより様々な化学反応をチップ上に集積した化学集積回路の実現を目的に研究を推進した.この化学集積回路は,医療・環境・健康への応用が最も期待される分野である.検査診断システムにおいては,その取扱いに専門性を要せず短時間で分析可能で,ユビキタス情報社会と整合性の高いことが求められ,その上で極微の生体分子を検出することが最重要課題となる.
化学反応を検出するために,電気化学計測のCMOS集積回路を新たに設計した.化学反応の検出は集積回路として新しい応用であるため、従来の回路技術を用いたのでは不十分である.新たに、サブスレッショルド領域動作、電圧信号では無く電流信号、振幅信号ではなくタイムドメイン信号、の3つの指針を定め、低消費電力・高精度のアナログ集積回路を提案・設計・試作し、その動作を確認した.これにより電位・電流・インピーダンス・光計測を統合したマルチモーダル型64x64センサアレイを設計した.従来の回路を改良すると伴に,電流モードのオンチップ検波回路およびディジタル-アナログ変換回路を新たに設計し,要求性能である10MHzまでのインピーダンスを検出することに成功した.また,化学反応の制御,物質の効率的な輸送のために,ポリイミド保護膜‐SU8マイクロ流路-ステルスダイシングのポストCMOS集積プロセスを開発した.手の平に乗るスタンドアローンの装置を開発し,3umのビーズのインピーダンスによる検出に成功し,おおよそ10個の大腸菌の検出の見通しを得た.
