Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We analyzed 240K functional SNPs in 4150 Japanese controls by use of HumanExome BeadChip. We also analyzed functional SNPs in 93 Jamaican sprinters and 306 controls as well as 112 American sprinters and 200 controls after whole genome amplification (WGA). The genotyping error rates were markedly high for the samples after WGA. Therefore, we selected 8 Ethiopian and 8 Kenyan endurance runners, re-extracted DNA from their buccal swab samples, and started whole genome re-sequencing analysis.
