Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we examined the stress coping capacity sense of coherence (SOC) using the national representative sample data among the Japanese citizens and secondary data from Scotland and Canada. First, standardization of the SOC - 13 scale was carried out and the national standard score was obtained. SOC had a lower score than Scotland and Canada. Secondly, experience with past family members and socio-economic factors were related to SOC clearly. Thirdly, cognitive social capital and perceived psycho-social environment were related to SOC, and similar relevance in Scotland were seen too.
