Outline of Final Research Achievements

The REBCO coated conductor has a potential to realize a superconducting devices with very high current density and energy density at 20 K class temperature and expected to be used for various devices such as power applications. The conductor, however, shows problems when it is used as a coil; typical one is degradation of superconducting performance. In this study, three important problems and solutions for them were studied for achieving basic technology for REBCO coated conductor coil applications.
