| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
2017年度は、これまで蓄積してきた言語資料を追加的に補強するために１回のボツワナ現地調査を実施し、主にグイ語のテキストの収集と現地でのアノテーションを行なった。また、古い言語資料の発掘的調査にも着手し、1960年代から80年代までに人類学者が録音したグイ語とガナ語のアナログ音声資料をデジタル化した上で、その目録作成とアーカイブ化の準備を開始した。さらに、研究代表者が進めていたコン語辞書（Anthony Traillの遺稿）の編集が完了し、出版社(Rudiger Koppe)に提出した。コン語は本研究の主要対象であるグイ語との密接な言語接触が認められて語彙への影響の大きいので、編集の過程で、両言語をめぐるコイサン内借用関係についての多くの仮説を得ることができた。これらに加えて、グイ語、ナロ語、ハバ語、ツィラ語の平行語彙データベース編纂の入力作業が終了し、校正作業に入った。この後、比較と統計処理のために必要な整備をして、カラハリ・コエ語派以外のコエ語族諸語との同系内類型論的比較や、トゥー語族・カー語族コイサン諸語との地域類型論的比較のための平行語彙コーパスに拡大する。
研究成果の公表（研究代表者の成果のみ）：【印刷物】南西カラハリ・コエ語派の声調論の学術論文を刊行し、The Cambridge Handbook of African Linguisticsのコイサン諸語の章を執筆（2018年8月刊行予定）した。【口頭発表】日本言語学会春季大会、秋季大会、日本アフリカ学会にてコイサン音韻論関連の発表を行った。【その他】広義の言語学的ドキュメンテーションに該当する言語文書化のサブ・プロジェクト、言語民族誌的グイ語動物辞典の編纂を開始した。また、このサブ・プロジェクトに関連する一般市民向け狩猟採集民写真展と講演会イベントを開催し、研究成果の社会への公開の取り組みも具体的に始めた。
